RECYCLED GLASS BEADS
These beads are handcrafted in Ghana by co-op’s promoting the advancement of women artisans in a socially responsible manner. Discarded glass is collected then ground into a fine powder. Technique is then slightly varied depending on the desired result. The glass mixture is then fires in bead shaped clay moulds giving the beads a truly organic look.
RECYCLED PAPER BEADS
These beads are handcrafted in Uganda by rolling strips of recycled magazine pages/poster paper around a needle with adhesive and then varnished. No paint is added to the final product. The colours/designs of the paper used determine the finished product. Each individual bead therefore is a one of a kind work of art.
